Very busy Me.

Yesterday I moved most of my stuff (roughly 85%) to Macon. Today I was going to get my substituting orientation, but that was cancelled. Now I have the rest of my mobile belongings packed and ready to go. Mostly.

The rest of it doesn't require packing. I never unpacked those things.

Then there's the furniture.

With my weekends taken up, I have no one solid day to move all the stuff I own. So I'm doing it in chunks. The next chunk goes down next Friday at the earlierst. The furniture, well, we'll see how that works out.

In the next two to three weeks I will be busier than I have been in a long time--truly busier, not just distracted and spinning my wheels. It's exciting. I feel like my life is moving again. And it is.

I have a full time job doing landscaping for a company. This jobs was brought to me by way of Jennifer Cole's fiance Keith. Thanks, Keith.

Though my Mom wishes it wasn't so sudden, I'm glad that it is. If this whole process dragged out, I think it would drive me crazy. So Dec 1st will be my first day officially moved into Macon and starting my new job. It's exciting. I'm really looking forward to it.

The paper stack.

I found a paycheck this weekend while I was cleaning up my room. I was gathering up my paystubs from work and when I looked at one of the paystubs, it had a paycheck attached to it! I nearly kicked myself for being so negligent, but decided to wait until I knew if the check was void before I kicked myself. After all, why beat myself up over a paycheck that was still good? It's still good. Therefore I did not kick myself.

I also spent a lot of my time this weekend playing Little Big Planet. In Little Big Planet, you play as a little sack person. Think of it like a beanie baby. You can customize this sack person to look however you want. The options are limited at first but after even just a few minutes of playing through the levels you can acquire extra materials, accessories, objects, knicknacks, bricerkbracker, odds-n-ends, junk, bits and pieces, and all manner of stuff. Not all of it is used for making your sack person look spiffy. Most of it is for the design and creation of your own levels. The levels you create can be published on the internet for others to enjoy. Likewise, so too do other people's levels make themselves available at your fingertips for literally endless hours of play. I had the best time.

In other news, for those who have not recieved it, I have been accepted as a substitute teacher for Mt. DeSales Academy in Macon. I get acquainted with how substituting works on Wednesday. In the meantime I'm resisting the urge to frantically pack my room and vacate PTC as soon as possible. My step-dad deploys tomorrow, so I'm trying to be present for my family. It's never been easy on my mom or baby brother, and this year will be the worst yet, because my step-dad won't be here for Thanksgiving or Christmas. This won't be stopping me from moving to Macon as soon as possible, but I figure this week at least ought to be given over to spending as much time as I can with my family.

Honestly, there's not much I have to pack. At the barest bones I just have to pack my clothes, books, DVDs, and my computer. Otherwise most of it can go as is. I'm excited.

Consider yourself warned, Macon.

Someone must have sat on my lost WIN button.

Yes. I have a WIN button. I also have an AWESOME button.

Usually these two buttons are within close reach and are very related to one another. Usually if I press the AWESOME button, then the WIN button follows.

Or if I manage to press the WIN button before the AWESOME button, that button is pressed as a direct result of just how much Awesome I generated with the WIN button.

As most of you know, those two buttons haven't really seen a lot of use. In fact, I'm not entirely sure what happened to them. But I think someone must have sat on it or something, because the WIN button got pressed last night.

No, I didn't wet my pants about Obama's election. I have a job. A job that feels more like a real job than my current one.

I am a substitute teacher.

Next week I hope to get the shake down on substituting and I can dive right in. For the record, I'm subbing at Mt. DeSales Academy in the high school. I'm working on getting into the middle school as we speak.

Which reminds me, I need to do more substitute applying at the other catholic schools to maximize my opportunity to be in the classroom.

The potential of this is that I could be in Macon by the end of the month. In fact, I mean to be in Macon by the time the first week of December is over.

In the meantime I have one or two leads on steadier work, but I'm going to do what I can to work around that in the meantime.

And when I finally appear on that fateful day in the streets of Macon, maybe I will have recovered my missing WIN and AWESOME buttons and can then make thorough use of them.

I'm not the Juggernaut yet (bitch) [couldn't resist]. But I feel more like my old self than I did weeks or even months ago.

Soul Searching.

Tonight I find myself in a contemplative mood. It's not a bad mood. I've not felt anger, pity, remorse, or sadness all week. I'm just suddenly of a mind to consider myself.

Honestly, I don't remember the last time I stopped to take a good, long, even look at myself. I'm not entirely sure I know what I look like, or how to recognize me amongst all the stuff that settles in my heart and mind.

Like a room covered in clutter, so it is with me. I'm not entirely sure where to begin.

The Bible says, "Seek first the Kingdom of God," so I suppose I ought to start there. I need to go to confession. Then I'll figure things out from there. Under the inspiration of Adrian Plass, I think I might start keeping a spiritual journal so I can have it all to sort through as things go.

Work and living on my own are still there. But I need a serious overhaul of my worldview.

Again, I quote Master Splinter: "My Master Yoshi's first rule was: Possess the Right Thinking."
